Welcome To The Alley Catz
50's Rock 'n' Roll and Swing Classes
The New and Exciting Way Of Dancing
Good Ol' Rock 'n' Roll

John Hannon and his team  have been dancing together for years and in that time, not only have they refined the unmistakable "Alley Catz" way of dancing, but also have travelled around Australia competing and performing at world class venues.

Some of their most recent achievements are:

  • Victorian State title holders 2001, 2003
  • Australian South East Champions 2002, 2003
  • 'Best of the Best' Sydney Australia – 3rd place
  • Pan Pacific Rock 'n' Roll title holders – 2004
  • Australasian Championship title holders – 2004

Why is the Alley Catz way of dancing so popular and so much fun?

"We take established dancers to the next level giving them the knowledge and skill to develop their own style, which is encouraged"

"We provide the perfect fun-learning environment for those that have never danced before that gets them dancing on the first night and meeting some great people"

"All students are not taught to dance the same way, they learn the skills needed to develop their own style".

More On The Alley Catz

Alley Catz has grown to the biggest
Rock 'n' Roll dance school in Australia,
teaching around 350 students in 4 locations.

They won just about every top flight
dance competition in Australia:

* Victoria State Champions 2001 & 2003

* Australia South East Champions
2002, 2003 and 2007

* Pan Pacific Champions 2004

* Austalasian Champions 2004

Plus a "squillion other rockabilly,
swing and rock 'n' roll competitions.

Great dancers don't necessarily make
great teachers, but Jon's a fabulous
and stylish dancer. Plus he's also very
experienced & exceptionally skilfull teacher.

Jon will be holding a series of free Rock 'n Roll
socials and workshops on Long Island
Resort in a relaxed and friendly environment.

It doesn't matter if you're a couple or
travelling on your own as all dancers
have the option of either rotating or staying
with their own partners. Either way, you will get
to meet everybody which is the beauty of
dancing at Long Island.

You'll be in "very good hands" with
Jon Hannon and the Alley Catz
