Embarkation normally commences at 1.00pm and your are required to be onboard by 3.00pm, for the ship to sail at 4.00pm (unless advised otherwise).
Pacific Sky usually departs from Wharf 8, Sydney Passenger Terminal, Darling Harbour, Hickson Road, unless you are advised otherwise.
Friends and Family are welcome to give you a send-off from the wharfside. In accordance with cruise line security procedures throughout the world, visitors cannot be admitted onboard the ship with you when you embark, nor at any port of call during the cruise. Once you have embarked on the vessel it will NOT be possible for you to return ashore.
P&O Cruises have always been security conscious and in the current climate we have increased our vigilance in certain areas. All your luggage is scanned prior to going aboard. This includes suitcases and hand luggage.
Upon arrival at the wharf please take your luggage to the security checkpoint. Your heavy luggage will be security checked and delivered to your cabin. (Please ensure you have the Pacific Sky label attached with your name, address and cabin number clearly marked).You will be directed to the embarkation entrance. Please have your carry-on luggage, cruise ticket ready for inspection and for cruises visiting an overseas port-of-call, all passengers are required to have their valid passport and any duty-free purchases ready for show.
At embarkation, you will receive your Pacific Sky Cruise Card, which acts as your security pass on the ship.
Once you have embarked the ship, you are not permitted to return ashore before sailing.
Duty-free alcohol over one bottle (1125 ml) per adult passenger will be taken prior to embarking and a receipt issued.
For any items you have purchased and are eligible for a refund on the GST which was paid, please see the Customs Officer who operates the Tax Refund Scheme (TRS) at embarkation with your tax invoice.
You are reminded that under Australian currency regulations, you may take a maximum of AUD$10,000 Australian currency out of Australia. The Customs department has the power to confiscate Australian currency in excess of that amount.
P&O Cruises does not condone the taking of prohibited substances onboard Pacific Sky. Australian Customs independently conducts random checks with sniffer dogs.
P&O Cruises will not delay the ship’s departure for any offenders who have not completed interrogation with Customs and Federal Police. Should you be permitted to leave the wharf area and join the ship at its next port of call, all costs are at the passenger's own expense.
Your luggage will be delivered directly to your cabin. Please note that it may take until 8.00pm for all luggage to be delivered.
Pacific Sky will return to Sydney on the date and to the wharf shown on your cruise ticket.
Your cabin steward will provide you with P&O Cruises coloured group luggage labels. Tie one of these to each piece of heavy cabin luggage prior to collection by the ship’s personnel.
For your comfort and convenience, disembarkation will be staggered in small groups. Each group will be identified by its group coloured tag. To enable officials to prepare for disembarkation, kindly wait in the comfort of your assigned lounge on the vessel until your colour group is called over the public address system to proceed ashore.
Please have the tear-off stub of your P&O Cruises coloured group tags ready to show as you disembark the vessel.
As you enter the Passenger Terminal you will find your luggage set out in colour groups. All passengers are required to collect their luggage. For cruises that visit an overseas port you are required to clear all luggage through Australian Customs and Quarantine.
Upon collection of all your luggage and clearing through Australian Customs and Quarantine you will be assisted to the exit doors.
